Our Chapter’s Education Foundation and the University’s Smith School of Business are pleased to announce a multi-year partnership to focus on furthering education on social value creation by businesses and non profit organizations.
Through this unique partnership, our Actives and Smith School students will have a unique opportunity to learn about and engage in sustainable business practices, case studies, etc. to prepare them for success post graduation.
Students in this innovative program will have the opportunity to go beyond the classroom to internships with businesses and organizations, that focus on social values that benefit customers, shareholders and society.
This partnership will position our Undergraduate Chapter in a leadership role on campus for innovative, tangible, practical programs with the highly respected Smith School that will benefit all UMD undergraduates: Greek and non-Greek. This is another opportunity to demonstrate how Greek Chapters can benefit the University at large and how our Education Foundation can benefit our Undergraduate Chapter as both a Greek and on campus leader.
Special shout-out to Greg Schaub ‘82, Tom Burton ‘84, Scott Werber ‘86 and the entire Foundation Board for their vision and wisdom in creating this partnership with the Smith School.
