Brother Rich Thometz ’87 has received the 2020 Home Builders Care (HBCF) Mitchell award!
Rich is a current Life Director of MBIA and a former HBCF board member. He has long been active with the Association with his three companies, Hailey Development LC, Efficient Home LLC and The BurnBrae Companies.
The Mitchell award highlights the HBCF’s broad community-based support initiatives they provide in the DC Metro region. Chosen by the HBCF Board of Directors, recipients of this prestigious award are selected on the basis of dedication, service, participation and contributions – both in-kind and financial – that go above and beyond “normal” volunteer activity. The award recognizes lifetime achievement and philanthropy.
Due to the pandemic, HBCF has transitioned to a virtual fundraising campaign, aimed at helping support the elevated need for community assistance programs. CLICK HERE to watch a video created by Rich’s business partner, and fellow Sig, Brother Tony Crane ’83, which provides further information on the HBCF and their mission.
While we know times are tough right now, if you are comfortable or in a position to to donate to the HBCF and want to help them continue in their efforts to help the D.C. community, you can CLICK HERE.
Congratulations again to Brother Rich! We know he’ll keep making us proud.
