Letter from the Undergraduates: Seeking Mentors

Brothers,

We seek to find 11 Alumni with career backgrounds that match the career aspirations/majors of these 11 undergrads.

I’m Caleb Rahaim, a rising senior, former recruitment chair, and now Tribune for the Gamma Chi chapter of Sigma Chi.

None of us would be where we are today without those who helped us along the way.

Last semester, Dennis O’Connell and I founded the Mentorship Program for our chapter. In this program, we matched 11 active brothers with 11 alumni mentors based on career alignment (see the attached Cohort One Recap PDF for more details).

Following positive feedback from both mentors and mentees, we’ve decided to bring in a new cohort of 11 brothers, which are included in the included PDF below.

The expectation is that the Mentee will proactively schedule monthly Zoom calls with their Mentor. These calls will cover the usual topics: career advice, course selection, internships, networking ideas, interviewing advice, etc. All discussion topics up to the Mentor & Mentee. We are trying to make Alumni participation as easy and convenient as possible, knowing your work and family commitments. Please let us know if you would like to participate.

Sincerely,

Caleb Rahaim
Tribune
